A highly sought-after pair of Orbit reclining chairs designed by Ingmar Relling and produced by A/S Vestlandske Møbelfabrikk in 1976. These innovative chairs represent an important moment in Norwegian mid-century design, being among the first to feature an adjustable reclining backrest for enhanced comfort.
The Orbit chair is celebrated for its versatility and forward-thinking design, allowing multiple chairs to be combined to form a sofa arrangement. Production was limited and discontinued after approximately ten years, making these pieces increasingly rare and collectible today.
